Several different groups operate within the Corbett Residents Association , each focusing on a different aspect of the community and each representing different interests.
These are keen members who would like to attend the Committee meetings once a month to discuss any arising matter or just progress with things
Streets and Environment
This group focuses on anything to do with our environment – parking, rubbish, trees, snow, etc. The Street & Environment group are currently working on two important issues, the Sandshurst Parade and the Dog Pooh Project.
The Corbett Residents Association Events Committee is headed up by Lee Lengthorn. It is the widest group as it manages all the large events that the association promotes, and that generates the essential fundraising that allows the association to operate. The Events Group is always looking for keen people who are willing to give a hand to make the events successful, regardless of how small their involvement may be. Generally there are four or five events that run every year: the Easter Egg Hunt, the Big Lunch, the Corbett Residents Festival and the Fireworks in November.
The Corbett Little Socialites
The Corbett Little Socialites is a friendly group of local parents with pre-school aged children. It is an informal affair – with the main aim of making new friends (for both parents and little ones) and sharing information. The Facebook page includes a wealth of recommendations on places to go, organised coffee mornings/ open houses, and informal invitations for park trips and evenings down the pub! We have over 40 members already, and the community spirit is fantastic!

This group is active on our community garden at the Healthy Lifestyle Centre in Abbotshall Road.
A group for local wildlife enthusiasts and beginners to share sightings, garden ideas, events and meet ups.
